You are planning a hike or a trip? The Saxon-Bohemian Switzerland National Park Region offers countless ways to get from A to B. This convenient network is unique among national parks in Germany! Find out more on these pages about the public transport (ÖPNV), bicycle mobility and bike buses or use the cross-border connections.
A good starting point for all activities is, for example, our hub National Park Station Bad Schandau, which provides ample parking and plenty of connections. Download our current hiking schedule for the entire National Park Region here.
You can also find charging stations for electric cars in the region: in Sebnitz at the town hall, at the Niederrathen parking lot and at the VW House in Pirna.
The National Park Rail offers a cross-border connection through the region – for details, please see www.nationalparkbahn.de!
The line U 28 connects the German and Czech cities of Rumburk, Sebnitz, Bad Schandau and Děčín. With this comarably new line, a 61-year-old gap in the rail network has been closed in 2014. The National Park Rail goes along this track up to eight times a day in two-hour intervals.
