Closure due to driven hunt

On 8 January 2026, a driven hunt is taking place in the Schmilka forestry district. All trails in the area marked on the map have to be closed for the duration of the hunt. 

The Zeughaus may be reached via Kleiner Zschand, the Kuhstall can be accessed as usual from the Kirnitzschtal, from Lichtenhainer Wasserfall as well as Hausbergstraße.

For Malerweg hikers, we suggest a diversion via Jordanweg, Nasser Grund, Flößersteig up to Beuthenfall, then after reaching the Kuhstall via the normal Malerweg route, use the cycle route Alte Straße/Hausbergstraße to get to Flößersteig again and follow Flößersteig to the Felsenmühle mill.
