The website operator takes your data protection very seriously and treats your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory provisions. As new technologies and the constant development of this website may result in changes to this privacy policy, we recommend that you review the privacy policy at regular intervals.

When processing personal data, we comply with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the new Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). Definitions of the terms used (e.g. ‘controller’, ‘personal data’ or ‘processing’) can be found in Art. 4 GDPR.

2. Access data

The website operator or page provider collects data about access to the website on the basis of our legitimate interest (see Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) and stores this data as ‘server log files’ on the website server.

The following data is logged:

Website visited

Time of access

Amount of data sent in bytes

Source/reference from which you accessed the site

Browser used

Operating system used

IP address used

The server log files are stored for a maximum of 10 days and then deleted. The data is stored for security reasons, e.g. to investigate cases of misuse. If data must be retained for evidentiary reasons, it is excluded from deletion until the incident has been finally clarified.

We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when accessing websites or communicating by e-mail) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

3. Cookies

This website uses cookies to ensure the functionality of the website, which are transmitted from our server to the user's browser. Cookies are small files that are stored on your device. Your browser accesses these files. The use of cookies increases the user-friendliness and security of this website. Cookies are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

If you do not want cookies to be stored on your device, you can adjust your browser settings accordingly. Common browsers offer the option of not allowing cookies. Please note: It is not guaranteed that you will be able to access all functions of this website without restrictions if you make the appropriate settings.

4. Collection and processing of personal data

The website operator collects, uses and discloses your personal data only if this is permitted by law or if you consent to the collection of data.

Personal data is any information that can be used to identify you and that can be traced back to you, such as your name, email address and telephone number.

You can also visit this website without providing any personal information. However, in order to improve our online offering, we store your access data (see 2.) to this website (without personal reference).

5. Access to and disclosure of personal data

As a matter of principle, personal data is not disclosed to third parties or accessed by third parties, unless there are legal, statutory or official requirements to do so. Our IT service provider (Feuerpanda GmbH, Bautzner Str. 6, 01099 Dresden) may gain access to personal data in the course of maintenance work. They are contractually obliged to comply with data protection regulations. See also point 8 (analysis services).

Within the company, only those employees who are responsible for processing the specific request have access to your data.

Emails (including enquiries via the contact form) are not encrypted

6. Handling of contact data

7. Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form provided, only the personal data provided in the enquiry will be collected. Mandatory fields are marked accordingly, as we require this data to process your contact enquiry.

We will delete the data collected in this context after your enquiry has been processed and the matter has been resolved. Alternatively, we will restrict processing if there are legal retention obligations.

9. Rights of the user (data subject)

In accordance with Art. 15 ff GDPR, data subjects have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction and objection to the processing of their data (see also Art. 16 ff GDPR and § 32 ff BDSG). Furthermore, pursuant to Art. 13(2)(c) GDPR, data subjects have the right to withdraw their consent to the processing of personal data for the future if the processing is based on Art. 6(1)(a) or Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR. The lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until withdrawal remains unaffected.

However, revocation and failure to provide the required data will generally result in the purpose for which the data was collected not being fulfilled. The exercise of these rights must be made in writing. Please contact us by email at info@smi.sachsen.de.

If applicable, you can also assert your right to data portability. If you believe that your data has been processed unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

10. Deletion of data

Provided that your request does not conflict with a legal obligation to retain data (e.g. data retention), you have the right to have your data deleted. The provisions of Art. 17 GDPR in conjunction with § 35 BDSG apply. Data stored by us will be deleted if it is no longer required for its intended purpose and there are no legal retention periods. If deletion cannot be carried out because the data is required for permissible legal purposes, data processing will be restricted. In this case, the data will be blocked and not processed for other purposes.

11. Links to other websites

Our homepage contains links to other websites. We have no influence over whether their operators comply with data protection regulations. We accept no liability for this or for the content of these websites.

12. Right to object and right of appeal

Users of this website can exercise their right to object and object to the processing of their personal data at any time.
