Tuesdays: The poodle's core at the Rauenstein
Join us on a discovery tour that begins where the hiking map usually only shows narrow paths. The Rauenstein is far more than just a viewing balcony
above the Elbe. It harbours places that elude the fleeting glance and only reveal their history off the main paths. Together, we squeeze through the narrow rocky alleyways of the wild grounds, decipher old rock carvings, discover the legacy of the history of development of the Saxon Switzerland and get to the poodle's core. This tour is for all those who not only want to hike, but also want to understand. A search for clues between sandstone, history and the unsolved mysteries of the rock.
Duration: approx. 3 to 3.5 hours
Wednesdays: Rocky landscapes in evening light
The day draws to a close and the sun illuminates the rocks one last time. While nature goes to rest, we tackle the last metres of altitude of the day. From lesser-known vantage points, we let our eyes wander over the Lilienstein, Königstein Fortress and the Elbe valley. Up here is the perfect spot to pause and watch the sun slowly set behind the sandstone peaks. On the way back, we may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the wildlife. We recommend carrying a torch for safety.
Duration: approx. 3 hours.
Thursdays: Late riser tour through the Schrammsteine
Through narrow, deep gorges, up to enchanting rocky reefs and their panoramas, we take you on a journey through time. On this varied tour, we will show you the special features of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains and take you to selected places. During lively conversations, you will learn a lot about the history and stories of our region. We look forward to an exciting and relaxed tour with you!

1st and 3rd saturday of each month: Rocks, ferns, dwarves
Fancy discovering the world of sandstone together with children? Legends and stories accompany us on our hike through the landscape. Play scenes encourage our dexterity. And even Punch wants to have his say when it comes to bark beetles and the Gautschgrotte.
