Skiing

Sachsenforst offers different skiing routes in the Saxon Switzerland in winter. These are forestry roads that are usually not cleared of snow and may be used for cross-country skiing. However, no actual cross-country ski runs are prepared.

In the flyers linked on this page, the usable ways are drawn in red. Possibly entry paths to the routes are drawn in dashed or dottet lines where applicable. The flyers are available as PDF. Please observe the notes below on usability of the routes. The interactive map below shows an overview of the routes as well; routes that are not usable in the current skiing season are left out of the map.

Notes on the routes:

• Skiing routes in the Brand-Beutwald area: The ways drawn in blue in the PDF cannot be used in the 2025/2026 winter due to forestry work.
• Skiing routes in the Zschirnstein area: The skiing route between Kleingießhübel and Kleiner Zschirnstein cannot be used in the 2025/2026 winter due to forestry work.
