Built in the early 1950s as a new movie theater, it has served as a museum since 2001 and, through its exhibitions and events, has since become an important part of the cultural network of the national park region—a bridge between the natural and cultural landscapes: Free admission all day to the historic Saxon Switzerland National Park Center, a designated historic landmark.
