If you don't want to go on a long hike, visit the majestic Lilienstein and discover the outdoor grounds of the Sellnitz educational centre nearby, which has been the children's and youth educational centre of the Saxon Switzerland National Park since 1995.

Families with children and young people of all ages can stay here and try out the activities designed to help them experience nature with all their senses’. Here, you can swap your mobile phone for a tree phone to experience the conductivity of wood, or feel different soil conditions as you walk along the barefoot path. At the ‘eye tree’, you can experience how different animals see, and stations such as the herb spiral, the root and other elements invite you to try things out and teach you all kinds of interesting facts.

The outdoor area of the educational centre is freely accessible to visitors.
