Forestry work in Brand area

Update 5 January 2026: The second part of the trail closure had to be postponed from December and is now taking place starting on 7 January. This affects the Malerweg. The diversion route is indicated in the map and about 500 m longer than the original route. 

In the Brand area near Hohnstein, forestry work is taking place from 24 November until 19 December 2025. For safety reasons, some trails have to be closed. From 24 November until 5 December, this will be the Schneise 15 between Neuweg and Brandstraße, from 7 January until 30 January 2026 the Räumigtweg between Neuweg and Brandstraße. The diversion route is indicated in the interactive map and leads via Räumigtweg for the first part of the closure, then via Schneise 15 for the second part of the closure. Diversions will be signposted on site as well.
