The evening primrose (Oenothera biennis) is the Medicinal Plant of the Year 2026. It captivates with its magnificent blooms and holds deep symbolic meaning. Its nocturnal blooming connects it closely to the moon, a symbol of light in the darkness.

The experienced medicinal plant educator Katrin Vollmann will introduce you to the multifaceted properties of the evening primrose, both internal and external: In a hands-on workshop, the focus is on the nature and possible uses of this enchanting plant. As a special keepsake, participants will make their own evening primrose cream.
