Closures due to helicopter operation

From 25 August until approx. 18 September 2026, the Rathener Folgenweg, a part of the Rathener Straße, and both Gamrig parking spaces have to be closed. 

• Rathener Folgenweg: Passage is possible only for residents, no passage for pedestrians, cyclists etc.
• Rathener Straße: Passage is possible for residents, overnight guests, delivery, ambulance etc., but not for day visitors. During helicopter flight, the affected part of the street will be closed fully. 
• Neither of the two Gamrig parking spaces may be used. 
• Day visitors to Kurort Rathen please use the ferry instead.

The closure is necessary because of the helicopter operation to remove storm-damaged timber around Kurort Rathen. The helicopter operation is taking place in the area around Wehlgrund, Raaber Kessel, Amselsee and Saugrund, the helicopter will then fly over Füllhölzelweg and Koppelsgrund to the parking spaces and Rathener Folgenweg. Please observe the closures at all times! In the work area and air corridor there is a danger to life!

The operation is set to take place until 11 September, but may be pushed back depending on weather conditions. Helicopter flight times are approx. 8 am to 4 pm from 26 August until 29 August, after that Monday through Saturday from 8 am to 6 pm.
